Trust & safety
Your money is safe on Pact.
Every paid transaction uses escrow: your payment is held by a licensed intermediary and only released when you confirm the work is done.
Escrow by Trustap ↗When you seal a Pact, funds are held by Trustap, a licensed payment intermediary. The seller never sees the money until you confirm.
The seller submits photos or written proof when the job is done, and you review it before funds move.
Not happy? Raise a dispute and Pact reviews the evidence and makes a binding decision. Full lifecycle, timings, and cancellation rules →
Pricing
Simple, fair fees.
Free to post and browse. You only pay when a deal completes: the same flat 5.5% + $0.40 to the buyer and the seller, shared evenly so neither side carries more than the other.
FAQ
Common questions
What happens if the work isn't done properly?
Don't release the funds. Open a dispute through the app within 24 hours of proof being submitted. Pact reviews both sides and issues a binding resolution: a full refund, a full release to the seller, or a split.
When does the seller get paid?
Once the buyer releases payment (or 24 hours after proof is submitted with no response), funds are held for a brief window then released. Payouts arrive within 2–3 business days to the seller's connected bank account.
Can I cancel a Pact?
Yes, before proof is submitted. The buyer is refunded in full whichever party cancels. The full cancellation rules per listing type are on the How it works page.
Is my card information stored by Pact?
No. Card payments are processed by Trustap, our licensed escrow partner. Pact never sees or stores card numbers.
What can be listed on Pact?
Anything legal. Services (repairs, cleaning, tutoring, creative work), physical goods, locally sourced items, events, and more.
How do I contact support?
